India is gearing up for an exciting tour of South Africa in November this year, featuring a four-match T20I series. Cricket South Africa (CSA) made the official announcement on June 21, Friday. The series will kick off on November 8 at Kingsmead in Durban and will conclude on November 15 at DP World Wanderers Stadium.
This announcement follows closely on the heels of the BCCI’s revelation of India’s 2024-25 home schedule, unveiled on June 20. According to the BCCI, India will play a Test and T20I series against Bangladesh, a Test series against New Zealand, and both an ODI and T20I series against England in the upcoming season.
Reflecting on the previous year’s tour, India had a mixed outing in South Africa. While they clinched the ODI series with a 2-1 victory, both the Test and T20I series ended in a 1-1 draw, showcasing fierce competition between the two cricketing nations.

Cricket South Africa, in a joint statement with the BCCI, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming series: “Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are delighted to confirm the scheduling of yet another thrilling KFC T20 International (T20I) series, which will see India traveling to South Africa in November 2024.”
The statement detailed the series schedule: “The KFC T20I Series will consist of four matches beginning on Friday, November 8, at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium in Durban. The next match is scheduled to take place in the friendly city of Gqeberha on Sunday, November 10, at Dafabet St George’s Park. The series then moves to the highveld, with SuperSport Park hosting a match on Wednesday, November 13, and DP World Wanderers Stadium hosting the final match of the series on Friday, November 15.”

Tickets for the series will be available for purchase starting August 19, as announced by Cricket South Africa.
