Indian cricket team will play two-match T20I series against the hosts Ireland at The Village (Malahide, Dublin) that have been scheduled on June 27 and 29. While Ireland is the no.17 T20I ranked team, India is no.3 T20I ranked team at present.
In the T20I cricket history, they have met only once and that was in the 2009 ICC World T20 Group A game at Nottingham where India had comfortably beat them by 8 wickets with 15 balls to spare.
Coming to the upcoming series, while India is the favourite side, Ireland has a great opportunity to showcase some fights against the strongest side that can inspire the whole nation in the shorter international cricket format.
