While Western Australia celebrates this decision, Queensland and South Australia face disappointment as Cricket Australia reshuffles the schedule to accommodate the Big Bash, aligning with Australian players’ availability in late January. South Australia’s aspirations for a day-night Test before Christmas have been thwarted, with Adelaide slated to host the second Test, followed by Brisbane for the third.

Meanwhile, Melbourne and Sydney will maintain their traditional Boxing Day and New Year’s Test fixtures, respectively. Although Cricket Australia has yet to officially unveil the schedule, details are still being fine-tuned for both the Big Bash and Women’s Big Bash.
