India and New Zealand have locked horns with each other in the first game of the three-match T20I series so far were the men in blue won that game and are currently leading the series by 1-0. The second game of the series will be played at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi on the 19th of November.
In the 1st T20I match, India registered a comfortable 5-wicket win over New Zealand. India won the toss and decided to field first at Jaipur. Coming to bat, New Zealand only managed to reach the total of 164 runs on the board for the loss of 6 wickets, Martin Guptill and Mark Chapman scored half-centuries as they amassed 70 runs and 63 runs respectively. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Ravichandran Ashwin grabbed 2 wickets each for India.

Coming to the chase, India successfully chased down the target with 5 wickets in hand and a couple of balls to spare, Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma knocked 62 runs and 48 runs respectively to guide the team home. Trent Boult also took a couple of wickets for New Zealand. India will be eyeing to win the 2nd T20I as well as the series with this one. On the other hand, the Kiwis will be desperate to make a comeback in the series.

With a 1-0 lead in the series already, it is unlikely that the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma will be making any changes in the winning combination unless they prefer to follow a rotation policy which could bring in a couple of uncapped pacers into the equation.
