India and Pakistan are the arch rivals of the game but for years now, the world is not witnessing an India vs Pakistan bilateral series except for in  ICC tournaments. Such a condition has arrived due to the political rifts among the two nations. Recently an ICC meeting was well held in Kolkata pertaining to future tour programme of the nations and also other important aspects.

PCB Chief Najam Sethi revealed that the Pakistan Cricket Board had signed the Future Tours Programme for 2019-2023 along with a condition. After BCCI ruling out MoU the case stands that if ICC’s decisions go in favour of PCB, India series should be added to the programme list in future. PCB Chief wholeheartedly wants India series to happen as soon as possible.

“We have made it clear that if the ICC’s Disputes Resolution Committee rules in our favour in October, then India must play against us in the new FTP programme,” said PCB Chief to Indian Express.

“Even if the result is otherwise we still have got confirmed around 123 matches in the new FTP so we have done well,” he concluded.

PCB has basically raised a voice against BCCI about not confiding by the MoU signed by the board in 2014. PCB has asked for USD 70 million as compensation. The ICC has said its Disputes Resolution Committee will look into the matter soon and arrange a verdict meeting by October in Dubai. PCB Chief is quite confident about the case bending towards the board and India series to be soon included in the programme list.

BCCI, on the other hand, has stated that MoU is not a legal document that can bind any two organization and it was at that time conditional about Pakistan supporting the three Governance Bodies. The bodies do exist no more and most of the amount has been spent earlier on getting Government clearance to play against the nation.
