India and West Indies will be locking horns with each other in teh third and teh final T20I at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The hosts have won both the matches played in this three-match T20I series so far and they are having an unassailable lead of 2-0. During the ongoing limitred=-overs tour to India comprising of three ODIs and as many T20Is, West Indies is yet to win a single game as they were whitewashed in the ODIs as well.
In the second T20I, West Indies won the toss and elected to field first in the second T20I match. While batting first, the Men in Blue stacked 186 runs on the board for the loss of 5 wickets which the West Indies side failed to chase down and lost the game by a narrow margin of 8 runs. Rishabh Pant was adjudged the Player of the match for his terrific knock with the bat (52 runs off 28 balls).

Ishan Kishan’s two outings have been far from promising. He had played a knock of 35 off 42 in the first T20I and was dismissed trying to hit his way out of trouble. In the second game, he looked out of ideas against Sheldon Cottrell taking the ball away from him and fell in the second over. India can look to move Kishan to the No. 3 spot and bring in Ruturaj Gaikwad to Ishan a chance to play and accelerated in the middle overs.

The onus is now on the West Indies batters to find a quick solution against India’s spinners.
