The Indian cricket team, including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and other players, has arrived in the West Indies. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video showing the players enjoying a volleyball session upon their arrival. Ishan Kishan took charge of the camera, capturing his teammates’ energetic performance, while also providing motivation as a makeshift coach.
Soham Desai, the strength and conditioning coach of the Indian team, mentioned that the players have been given a couple of days’ rest before they begin their on-field training.

During this break, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli took the opportunity to spend time with their families, with Kohli even traveling to Maldives and London for some quality leisure time.

Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Shardul Thakur had already landed in Barbados, sharing a selfie before the rest of the team joined them. The Indian team will undergo a week-long training camp and are expected to play a couple of practice matches before their first Test against the West Indies, scheduled to commence on July 12.
Meanwhile, the West Indies team is also preparing for the upcoming series. They will be training at the High-Performance Centre at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.
