In the Intercontinental Cup on Monday night, the Indian football team locked horns with Kenya’s team at the Mumbai Football Arena, in Mumbai. This was the second match of India in the tournament. Also, the Indian captain Sunil Chhetri had earlier defeated Chinese Taipei. In the match played on Monday, Indian football team captain scored two goals before he scored 59 goals in 99 games.

It was a memorable game for him, as Chhetri was playing his 100th international match. After playing that match, Sunil became the second Indian player to have played 100 international games. It was a historic match for the Indian captain and the team celebrated it by defeating Keny by a decent margin of 3-0 in which Sunil managed to score two goals.
