Indian Cricketing Fraternity Celebrates Mother’s Day

Every year, the second Sunday of May has been celebrated as Mother’s Day and the occasion is being celebrated across the world with people paying tributes to their mothers on social media. Its a day to recognize the untiring efforts that mothers all around the world put in continuously for their children in order to make them a better citizen right from childhood.

Both former and current Indian cricketers took to social media to post messages for their mothers on the occasion. Mothers are an important part of everyone’s lives and play a crucial role in every individual’s success.

The likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Harbhajan Singh, and Suresh Raina all took to Twitter to post pictures with their mothers and thank them for their selfless care. “Someone rightly said, “God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made Mothers,” wrote Sachin on Twitter.

However, on Sunday, the Indian cricket fans will be having another reason to celebrate as the winner of the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will also be decided. The IPL has reached the stage when the winner of the season will be decided as the two most successful franchises of the tournament the Mumbai Indians (MI) and the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be locking horns with each other at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. One of them will be lifting its 4th IPL title as both of them have lifted the coveted trophy three times.

In this season so far, MI and CSK have locked horns with each other for three times and on all the occasions Mumbai came out victorious despite the fact that two out of the three games were played in Chennai. CSK faced a defeat against MI in the first qualifier on Tuesday and then the Dad’s army had to defeat to Delhi Capitals (DC) in the second qualifier to reach their 8th IPL final in 10 seasons they have played so far. On the other hand, MI will be playing their 5th IPL final.
