The rivalry between the Afghan pacer and Virat Kohli began during the recently concluded IPL when the Lucknow Supergiants took on the Royal Challengers Bangalore. When Naveen was on the field when his side was bowling, he and Kohli were involved in an on-field dispute which eventually led to the two being fined as well. Surprisingly the conflict did not end after the game as the two continued with their verbal exchange even during post-match customary handshakes as well.

This has resulted in the cricketing fans heavily trolling the Afghan pacer. But the pacer did not seem to make much of the issue. Kohli has maintained a similar stance and has not spoken regarding the issue or the rivalry as well.

Kohli will be looking to continue his good form after providing India with a crucial knock as he set a match-winning partnership with KL Rahul to give Team India the win in their opening fixture against the Australian side which was held in the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Kohli managed to score 85 off 115 deliveries which proved to be the knock the side needed in a pressure situation after skipper Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were dismissed for ducks putting India in a very dangerous position.
