India’s T20 World Cup aspirations have suffered a huge blow after premier Indian fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah is well on the verge of the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia on Thursday. The right-arm fast bowler has suffered a stress fracture in his lower back, and he will be expected to be ruled out of the ICC mega event commencing next month. Several names are in contention to replace the injured pacer in the WC squad, one of the fan favorites is Mohsin Khan.
Rohit Sharma and his men struggled in the recently concluded Asia Cup 2022 as their lack of death bowling options stood out like a sore thumb in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. The pacer missed the continental tournament after sustaining a back injury. Bumrah made his return to playing XI in the recently concluded T20I series against Australia. He was once again ruled out of the series opener against South Africa due to a niggle.

But latest reports from the BCCI camp on Thursday revealed that Burmah’s injury is much more severe than previously thought, and he can be expected to miss the action for the next four to six months. The BCCI has kept a lid on things until now with an official statement expected later in the day.
While Mohammed Shami and Deepak Chahar, who are on standby for the T20 WC, are likely to be replacing Bumrah, fans on social media have thrown the 24-year-old southpaw fast bowler, Mohsin Khan’s name in the mix. The netizens are advocating for Mohsin’s place in the squad as the left-arm seamer received widespread applause for his impressive performance in IPL 2022 with Lucknow Super Giants.

Mohsin Khan managed to scalp 14 wickets for KL Rahul’s LSG in nine appearances, boasting of a sensational economy rate of just 5.96. Mohsin was excellent with the new ball and was on target more often than not in the death overs as well. Although Umran Malik got the nod over him in Team India after the conclusion of IPL 2022, Mohsin is on the radar of the Indian selectors and could prove to be an invaluable asset for the Indian team on the bouncy tracks of Australia.

If we are planning to go with shami who didn't play a single T20i after IPL then Bring mohsin khan for T20 wc. He is only replacement of bumrah right now.

Ideal replacement of Bumrah. Not Shami, Umran or anyone else.
Tall left armer who hits the deck and is good in all phases not just with the new ball. He can also bat decent.

BCCI should have fast-tracked someone like Mohsin Khan earlier this year. Now, last minute injury of Bumrah is a big blow. Management don't have any option but to go back to Shami.#bumrah #T20WorldCup2022

Mohsin Khan Left arm fast who can swing in PP, bowl yorkers in death overs, bouncers and change pace from 110 kmph to 150 kmph but still we play Umesh, harshal & Bhuvi.#bumrah #T20WorldCup2022 #T20WorldCup
