Currently, India and South Africa are locking horns with each other in the 2nd ODI of the three-match series at the Boland Park in Paarl. After winning the toss, India’s stand-in skipper, KL Rahul decided to bat first citing the slowness of the pitch. The Indian openers, Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan started cautiously as they scored 57 runs in the first 10 runs without losing a wicket.

However, KL Rahul received a couple of reprives in the game as Janmean Malan dropped a catch in the first 10 overs followed by an easy run-out chance in the 15th over.

After a cautious start, Dhawan and Virat Kohli were dismissed in quick succession which left India reeling at 64/2 at the end of 14 overs. Rishabh Pant came out to bat after the dismissal of Kohli and on the last ball of the 15th over bowled by Keshav Maharaj, a comedy of errors almost cost India the wicket of KL Rahul.

Virat Kohli, who is playing his second match after relinquishing captaincy from all formats of the game, was dismissed for a five-ball duck in the ongoing second ODI between India and South Africa in Paarl on Friday. Kohli went for the drive and handed the easiest of catches to Temba Bavuma at the cover on the bowling of Keshav Maharaj.
