India’s limited-overs skipper, Rohit Sharma looked his clear frustration after the veteran Indian pacer, Bhuvneshwar Kumar dropped Rovman Powell’s simple catch at a crucial juncture in the second T20I against West Indies. Rohit Sharma vented out his frustration by kicking the ball in anger after the dropped catch, only to gift the opposition an extra run.

The incident happened in the 16th over when Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell had scored crucial fifties for the visitors as they were chasing a daunting target of 187 runs. Bhuvneshwar bowled a short-length delivery outside off and Powell tried to smack it over long-on but only managed to get a top-edge on it the ball went straight in the air and the Indian seamer failed to take the catch as the ball popped out of his hands.

Rohit Sharma was also miffed with Kumar for not making an effort to take the catch of a dangerous-looking Powell. The clip of Rohit kicking the ball went viral on social media and fans were shocked over the Indian captain’s uncharacteristic reaction.

However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar made a strong comeback after the costly drop as he conceded just four runs in the penultimate over of the game and as a result, the visitors were required to score 25 runs in the final over to win the game. Harshal Patel managed to hold his nerve and, in the end, India registered a thrilling 8-run win. Rohit Sharma then hailed Bhuvneshwar for bowling a brilliant miserly over under pressure in the second T20I against West Indies.

During the match presentation, Rohit Sharma said, “You are always a bit scared when you are playing against these guys. In the end, it was a phenomenal finish.
