The Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma, gestured the milestone man, Virat Kohli to come to the field once again so that the players can give the former Indian skipper the guard of honor. Rohit’s actions won a lot of hearts of Indian fans on social media. The Indian players did a special gesture for Virat Kohli as he is playing his 100th Test in the ongoing opening game of the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka at the PCA Stadium in Mohali.

In the third session on Day 2 of the first test match against Sri Lanka, Virat Kohli had taken the field before all other team members. However, Rohit Sharma called Virat Kohli back and asked him to go behind the boundary rope and make another entry. This was done because the Indian team had decided to give a guard of honor to Virat on playing his 100th Test match for the country.

Earlier in the game, the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma had won the toss and decided to bat first. All the Indian batter got decent starts but only, Hanuma Vihari (58), Rishabh Pant (96), Ravichandran Ashwin (61), and Ravindra Jadeja (175*) managed to convert it into a big knock.
