India’s Predicted 2023 World Cup Schedule: Exciting Matches Await

The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash in the upcoming ODI World Cup is set to take place at the grand Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. While the official dates are yet to be announced, a recent report by ESPNCricinfo suggests that the arch-rivals will meet on October 15 during the tournament, which is scheduled to be held in October-November across India.

According to the report, the previous edition’s finalists, England and New Zealand, will kick off the tournament on October 5. India, on the other hand, will begin their campaign against Australia in Chennai on October 8. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a draft schedule with the International Cricket Council (ICC), who then forwarded it to the participating countries for feedback.

A final decision will be made once the ICC receives the feedback, and the official schedule is expected to be released next week. The venues for the semifinals and the final, which is slated for November 19, are yet to be finalized. However, it has been reported that Ahmedabad is likely to be the venue for the summit clash.

As per the report, India will play their league matches across nine venues, which are as follows:

  • Ind vs Aus, Oct 8, Chennai
  • Ind vs Afg, Oct 11, Delhi
  • Ind vs Pak, Oct 15, Ahmedabad
  • Ind vs Ban, Oct 19, Pune
  • Ind vs NZ, Oct 22, Dharamsala
  • Ind vs Eng, Oct 29, Lucknow
  • Ind vs qualifier, Nov 2, Mumbai
  • Ind vs SA, Nov 5, Kolkata
  • Ind vs qualifier, Nov 11, Bengaluru

India will play their league matches across nine different venues, including Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Pune, Dharamsala, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bengaluru. Pakistan, on the other hand, is scheduled to play across five venues, including Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad.

Some of the other highly anticipated clashes in the tournament include Australia vs New Zealand in Dharamsala on October 29 and Australia vs England at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on November 4, where traditional rivals will battle it out on the cricket field.

With the final schedule expected to be announced soon, cricket fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the clash between India and Pakistan, which promises to be a thrilling encounter in the ODI World Cup.
