India vs Australia

Team India is raring to face Australia in the first ODI at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. After outplaying Indian Board Presidents XI in the practice match, Aussies would like to be dominant against the hosts as well, but not as easy to do as to just say it.

The 1st ODI match between India and Australia is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 17 at 1:30 am IST. After extraordinary Sri Lanka tour, the men in blue would like to continue their purple patch against Australians as well.

The first ODI is expective to a complete entertainment but Australia’s bowling is looking weak that will give a lot of opportunities to Indi’s strong batting line-up to score runs.

Considering India’s squads, many things are pretty clear especially after Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s pre-match press conference. During the media interaction, Virat indirectly revealed that they are looking to go with Ajinkya Rahane as the second opener along with vice-captain Rohit Sharma.

However, Indin skipper didn’t ruled-out the chances of KL Rahul in the final XI as he said that the young lad needs to be backed and they are looking him as a middle order batsman. Virat also mentioned that Manish Pandey and Kedar Jadhav are some other middle-order batsmen and he also expressed the desire to play to two-wrist spinners as they provide the opportunity to generate wickets from nowhere.

India’s predicted playing XI for the 1st ODI: Virat Kohli (c), Rohit Sharma (vc), Ajinkya Rahane, KL Rahul, MS Dhoni (wk), Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami.
