Ben Stokes was born and brought-up till the age of 12 in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. In 2003, Ben’s father Gerard Stokes moved to northern England. He was a sportsman right from his childhood days.

According to a report in Telegraph, John Gibson, who coaches youngsters at Cockermouth Cricket Club in Cumbria said that the identity is the secret sponsor is only known to Ben Stokes and his wife Clare Ratcliffe.

Ben got married very early with a girl named Clare Ratcliffe. Stokes now has two kids as well. He wears a sporting garment which holds a GPS tracker in the back, but it looks like a sports bra. Stokes also tweeted about it:

There are very few cricketers in the world who don’t have nicknames and after punching the locker and breaking his finger, Stokes’ England teammates started calling Rocky. In order to add more spice to the name and add more fun to that incident, he was also named as The Hurt Locker.
