The Legendary Pakistani batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq is expected to return back to the action. It is very pleasing to see one of Pakistan’s most highly rated batsmen and their current chief selector back on the cricket field after a span of nearly 11 years. Inzamam, who has served Pakistan cricket for more than 15 years, has been a batting sensation in Pakistan cricket.

He would be featuring in the annual festival match of the Muslim Gymkhana Cricket Club, leading his side Inzamamul Haq XI against his opponent who will be led by former Test cricketer Taufeeq Umar.

The Muslim Gymkhana has been known for producing talented players who have gone and represented Pakistan at the International level. These players include Inzamamul Haq, Ahmed Shehzad, Taufeeq Umar, Aqib Javed, Mujahid Jamshed, Waseem Haider, Muhammad Ramzan, Hafiz Shahid, Naeem Khan and various others.

A veteran of 120 Test matches and 378 ODIs, who was many times criticized for his unfit physical appearance, was one of the first batting heroes that people in Pakistan could look up to draw inspiration in a land that was always known to produce fast bowlers.

The match will feature players like Saeed Anwar, Younis Khan, Inzamam and they will make sure that the batting prowess in the country was never hit with youngsters going and opting to bowl fast in the nets.
