During the 11th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals at Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Umesh Yadav conceded an expensive 27 runs in the last over. Due to the last over, Royals ended up scoring 88 runs in the last five overs.

Yadav, who had a stellar couple of matches in the tournament so far, went for 32 runs in his first three over. After the last over, his bowling figures for the match ended up reading 4-0-59-0.

Sanju Samson was the biggest beneficiary of this run-fest which saw Rajasthan Royals scoring a handsome 217-4 in 20 overs. Samson, who came in to bat at No. 3, ended up scoring his eight half-century, 92* (45), with the help of two fours and 10 sixes.

Samson hit 10 sixes in his innings.

Rahul Tripathi started the proceedings in the last over after he scored a monumental six off a Yadav slower delivery. He followed it with a boundary through the midwicket region. The pressure was evident on Yadav, who stepped out on the next delivery, not doing any good to his team.

The free hit saw Samson hitting Yadav for his ninth six of the match over long off. The in-form batsman repeated the feat on the penultimate delivery of the over as he hit Yadav for another six over long off. Royals were successful in hitting their highest IPL score against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
