During the 45th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Delhi, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s AB de Villiers grabbed an acrobatic catch at the boundary to dismiss Rishabh Pant.
Virat Kohli, captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, had won the toss and chose to field. Royal Challengers Bangalore had included Sarfraz Khan into their playing eleven in place of Manan Vohra. On the other hand, Delhi Daredevils handed IPL debuts to three players. Abhishek Sharma, Sandeep Lamichhane and Junior Dala were included in the squad in place of Glenn Maxwell, Liam Plunkett and Shahbaz Nadeem.

The visitors put Delhi Daredevils on the back foot right from the first over. Yuzvendra Chahal per se dismissed the openers cheaply. However, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant stitched a partnership to bring their team back into the match.
Having completed his half-century, just when he was about to cause havoc, Pant had to walk back to the pavilion after de Villiers’ brilliance. It happened on the final delivery of the 13th over when Pant tried to take on Moeen Ali but ended up hitting the ball in between long-on and deep mid-wicket. de Villiers ran in from long-on to take the catch.
