During the 36th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Delhi Daredevils (DD) at Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Alex Hales and Shikhar Dhawan belted Delhi’s Avesh Khan for 27 runs in an over.

After Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bat, Delhi Daredevils scored 163-5 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. At one point in time, they looked set to cross the 180-run mark. However, the home team’s bowlers didn’t let that happen and restricted the Daredevils to an achievable target.

Alex Hales hit three sixes in an Avesh Khan over.

In the second innings, Hales and Dhawan got their team off a safe start until the last over of the powerplay when their start was converted into a handsome start. Avesh Khan, who had opened the bowling with Trent Boult, bowled the last over of the powerplay.

Starting the with a no-ball, Avesh Khan bowled the first legal delivery as the free hit, which Dhawan dispatched way over deep square leg for a six. On the third delivery of the over, Hales picked the ball from off-stump to his it over the leg side for the second six of the over.

Hales took on the bowler when he hit an inside out six over covers on the following delivery. On the last ball of the over, he backed away to play the upper cut over third-man to hit the fourth maximum of the over. Watch the full video:
