During the Eliminator of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Kolkata, Kolkata Knight Riders’ Andre Russell took on Ben Laughlin, hitting him for two sixes in his second over.
Earlier Ajinkya Rahane, captain of Rajasthan Royals, had won the toss and chose to field. In a knock-out match, both the teams opted for not tinkering with their winning combination, fielding the same playing eleven.
Russell came in to bat at No. 7 in the 15th over. Standing tall on his reputation, he didn’t waste much time in using the long handle. Laughlin was introduced into the attack in the 11th over. He gave away 14 runs and picked up a wicket in his second over.
On the first ball of the 18th over, Dinesh Karthik failed to the middle a slower delivery from Laughlin, hitting it to Rahane at cover, who grabbed an excellent catch. Karthik ended up scoring 52 (38) with the help of four fours and two sixes. Watch the video:

On the second ball of the over, Laughlin bowled a short delivery to Russell, who dispatched it over the deep mid-wicket boundary for a six. The bowler got unlucky on the last delivery of the over when despite cramping the batsman for room by following him, he got hit for a six off the top-edge. Watch the videos:
