During the 38th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Rajsthan Royals (RR) at Indore, Rajasthan Royals’ Anureet Singh dismissed Karun Nair after he hit him for a six in the same over.

After Ravichandran Ashwin won the toss and put Rajasthan Royals in to bat, the visitors failed to get off to a start which they would have thought of. No batsman stood by Jos Buttler, who tried hard from one end to steer his team’s innings. Shreyas Gopal’s cameo in the slog over enabled the Royals to post a decent total.

Kings XI Punjab, too, did not get off to the best of starts as they lost Chris Gayle cheaply. Not just Gayle, other  batsmen failed to contribute as well.

Karun Nair, who came in to bat at No. 4 in the fifth over, supported Lokesh Rahul to some extent. On the third delivery of the 11th over, Nair flicked an Anureet Singh delivery for a six over deep square leg. On the penultimate delivery of the same over, Nair’s attempt to pull a short delivery saw him dragging the ball on to the stumps. He ended up scoring 31 (23) with the help of two fours and two sixes.
