A Hotstar promo is going viral on the social media which is showing that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will meet in the final of IPL 2018. Though the CSK has already secured their place for the final, the second team has yet to be qualified. While the most of people are claiming that it is the proof of IPL matches are fixed, what is the truth behind it?
CSK has already qualified for the final of IPL 2018 after beating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Qualifier 1 game. It was played on last Tuesday (May 22) at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) where CSK snatched a thrilling 2-wicket victory (with 5 balls to spare).
Meanwhile, on the next day (May 23), KKR claimed a 25-run victory against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Eden Gardens (Kolkata) in the Eliminator match. With that result, KKR advanced to the Qualifier 2 while RR was eliminated from the tournament.
Now on Friday, KKR will meet against the Qualifier 1 losing team SRH in the Qualifier 2 at Eden Gardens (Kolkata). The winner of the Qualifier 2 will advance for the final that will play against CSK on this Sunday (May 27) at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai). However, the Qualifier 2 match hasn’t started yet, but a Hotstar promo is showing that CSK and KKR will play the IPL 2018 final.

Many people are believing that it is the proof that IPL 2018 matches are fixed. While the KKR hasn’t reached the final yet, how they can show this?
Later, another video is going viral where the Hotstar promo is showing that CSK and SRH will meet the final of IPL 2018. So, what is the truth behind these videos?

While the final of IPL 2018 will begin in less than 48-hours of conclusion the Qualifier 2, it is expected that the broadcasters have made two different promos for the IPL 2018 final in early – featuring two different teams against CSK. Somehow, it was mistakenly released at the early stage. Hence, it can be said that there is no relation with the match-fixing.
