IPL 2018: Best playing XI of the season

IPL 2018 has just completed. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the trophy for the third time while Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) finished as a runner-up in this season. The tournament was very entertaining where many cricketers showcased eye-catching performances in the consistent-wise.

After the end of the tournament, we are now showing our best playing XI of IPL 2018.

KL Rahul (Kings XI Punjab) – Showed a responsible character in IPL 2018. From the season opener to the end, the 26-year-old right-handed batsman consistently carried the whole Kings XI Punjab batting line-up on his shoulder. He scored the third most runs in this season as he scored a total of 659 runs with the average of 54.91 and the strike-rate of 158.41. He scored total six half-centuries while his best knock was 95* against Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur.

 

Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals) – Since Buttler was promoted to the opening slot, he showed the excellent consistency with the bat. The 27-year-old was the saviour for Rajasthan Royals in this IPL season as he played the match-winner role with the bat. With an impressive average of 54.80 and the strike-rate of 155.24, Buttler scored a total of 548 runs in 13 innings. The wicketkeeper-batsman hit five half-centuries in this season while his best knock was 95* against Chennai Super Kings at Jaipur.
