The fifth week of the IPL 2018 was all about the teams pushing their cases for qualifying for the playoffs. The race of playoffs was hotter than ever with so many teams jammed up at around similar position on the points table. Delhi became the first team to be knocked out of the race and Sunrisers Hyderabad qualified for the playoffs. Mumbai was resurgent and is now knocking at the playoffs door. Chennai is safe and other teams are seeking the fourth spot.

Chennai Super Kings – MS Dhoni – Rating 8/10

Team Chennai was quite inactive in the last week as they played only one match in the whole week. Their sole match was against Royal Challengers Bangalore at their adopted home ground, Pune. Their bowling was right on the mark and they handed a punishment to the RCB team.

MSD was proven right in sticking with Ravi Jadeja as the left-arm spinner picked up three wickets in the match and tilted the favors in Chennai’s hands. he also picked up Kohli’s wicket. MSD handled the low-chase well and ended up on the winning side.
