During the 31st match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Colin de Grandhomme hit some lusty blows to finish the innings on a high note for his team.

After Rohit Sharma won the toss and put the Royal Challengers in to bat, the home team rode heavily on Manan Vohra’s enterprising 45 (31). After the young man got out, Brendon McCullum and Virat Kohli looked set to play a substantial innings for their match. Having said that, the wicket of McCullum followed by Hardik Pandya taking three wickets in an over dented the home team to a great extent.

Mitchell McClenaghan was called in to complete his quota of overs in the last over of the innings. The batting team hadn’t connected a ball properly in the last couple of overs and were in desperate need of some big shots. On the fourth ball of the over, de Grandhomme hit McClenaghan for a towering six over deep midwicket to break the shackles.

McClenaghan erred as he bowled a waste-high full-toss to de Granhomme who dispatched the ball over the deep square leg fence. On the free hit, de Grandhomme belted McClenaghan for a soaring six over long off, scoring 24 runs in the last over of the innings.
