During the 41st match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Kolkata, Mumbai Indians’ Evin Lewis was dismissed in a manner which will go down as a strange one down the memory lane.

Dinesh Karthik , captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, had won the toss and chose to field. Kolkata Knight Riders had included Rinku Singh and Tom Curran into their playing eleven in place of Shubman Gill and Mitchell Johnson. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians fielded an unchanged playing eleven.

Evin Lewis was out on 18.

Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis provided their team with a sufficiently good start. However, it was a tame way for Lewis to get out which brought back the hosts into the match.

Piyush Chawla was introduced into the attack in the sixth over. On the fourth delivery of his first over, Chawla bowled a half-tracker down the leg side. Lewis shaped in to pull the ball but ended up missing it completely. However, the ball lobbed off his thigh pad, hit the back of his bat and went straight to Chris Lynn at short third-man. Lewis ended up scoring 18 (13) with the help of three fours.
