During the ninth match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils at Mumbai, Ishan Kishan took the charge against Delhi Daredevils leg-spinner Rahul Tewatia. Kishan’s approach was evident of the fact that Mumbai Indians did not want to waste the platform set by their openers in Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis.

Kishan, who came in to bat at No. 3 in the 10th over, played aggressively against Tewatia in the 13th over. On the fourth ball of the over, Tewatia bowled a short pitch delivery, against which Kishan played a pull with full authority. The next shot was perhaps the shot of the match as Kishan hit a decent ball from Tewatia for a six. The fact that Kishan’s switch hit fetched him six runs speaks a lot about the quality of the shot.

If all this wasn’t enough, Kishan stepped down on the last delivery to hit another six through the midwicket area. Kishan’s onslaught earned the Indians 19 runs from the over.
