During the 41st match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Kolkata, Mumbai Indians’ Ishan Kishan thumped four sixes off four balls as he took on Kuldeep Yadav at will.

Dinesh Karthik , captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, had won the toss and chose to field. Kolkata Knight Riders had included Rinku Singh and Tom Curran into their playing eleven in place of Shubman Gill and Mitchell Johnson. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians fielded an unchanged playing eleven.

Kishan came in to bat at No. 4 in the 10th over. Within absolutely no time, he took over proceedings from Rohit Sharma and started dominating the bowling. Soon, he batted in a manner that one did not realise that Sharma was batting at the other end.

Kuldeep Yadav was introduced into the attack in the eighth over. In which was his third over, the 14th of the innings, he conceded 25 runs. Starting from the third ball of the over, Kishan stepped out to sweep the ball over deep square leg for a six. The following delivery saw Kishan sitting down on one knee and thwacking the ball over the deep midwicket region for a towering six.

On the penultimate delivery of the over, Kishan once again stepped out to hit a third consecutive six over the long on region. With this shot, he completed his third IPL half-century (off 17 balls). He used his wrists to hit another humongous six through the midwicket area on the last ball of the over.
