During the 50th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Mumbai, Mumbai Indians’ Jasprit Bumrah bowled an exceptional double-wicket over which saw the opposition collapsing in the chase.
After Ravichandran Ashwin won the toss and chose to field, Mumbai Indians got off to a flying start. It was Andrew Tye, who picked up three wickets in two overs to bring back the visitors into the game. Kieron Pollard’s 13th IPL half-century guided Mumbai Indians to 186-8 in 20 overs.
In which was the 17th over of the innings, it was Bumrah’s third of the night. Kings XI Punjab required 42 runs from 24 balls and this over undoubtedly could have changed things around for both the teams.
On the first ball of the over, Aaron Finch skied a delivery which was taken brilliantly by Hardik Pandya, who came running in from deep mid-wicket. A set batsman in Finch getting out in that situation had opened the match for the hosts. He ended up scoring 46 (35) with the help of three fours and a six. Watch the video:
