During the 54th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Hyderabad, Kolkata Knight Riders’ Javon Searles took revenge on the opposition captain in the first innings.
Earlier Kane Williamson, captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, had won the toss and chose to bat. Sunrisers Hyderabad made three changed to their playing eleven, bringing in Yusuf Pathan, Colin Brathwaite and Bhuvneshwar Kumar in place of Alex Hales, Deepak Hooda and Basil Thampi. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders made a solitary change to their playing eleven as they brought in Piyush Chawla in place of Shivam Mavi.
Williamson had come in to bat at No. 3 in the ninth over. Searles was introduced into the attack in the eighth over of the innings. Bowling his second over, he conceded 18 runs and picked up a wicket.
On the second delivery of the over, Williamson shuffled on the off-side to send a ball pitched on leg stump for a six through the fine-leg region. Searles came over the wicket on the following delivery, but bowled a similar which Williamson hit for another six through the fine-leg region. Watch the videos:

On the penultimate delivery of the over, against the run of play, Williamson hit a short and wide delivery straight to Andre Russell at sweeper cover. He ended up scoring 36 (17) with the help of one four and three sixes. Watch the full video:
