Mumbai Indians’ sorry season continues, and the lean patch of Kieron Pollard continues and in the match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Mumbai, it was no surprise that Pollard offered a meek catch to Shikhar Dhawan in first slip.
After Rohit Sharma put in Sunrisers Hyderabad in to bat, the opposition was bundled out for 118-10 in 18.4 overs. None of the Sunrisers batsmen lasted too long in an innings which saw them losing wickets at regular intervals.
In reply, Mumbai Indians repaid the favor by losing wickets at regular intervals to the extent that they lost half their side by the 14th over. The fifth Mumbai batsman to fall was Pollard, who after breaking the shackles became a victim of his terrible form.
Rashid Khan, who was bowling his third over, picked up his second wicket in the form of Pollard after the batsman guided the ball to Shikhar Dhawan at first slip. Pollard ended up scoring 9 (6) with the help of one six.
