During the 31st match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Manan Vohra belted 22 runs in one JP Duminy over to provide his team with much-required momentum.
Earlier, Sharma had won the toss and chose to field. Kieron Pollard, who was left out from the playing eleven in the last match, was included in place of injured Evin Lewis. For the Royal Challengers, Washington Sundar came back into the playing eleven in place of Murugan Ashwin.
Duminy, who opened the bowling for Mumbai Indians, was called in to bowl his second over from the other end. Vohra, who looked impressive in the first three overs, took on the off-spinner in the fourth over of the innings. He started the over with dancing down the track and hitting a boundary over mid-on.
Duminy was seen bowling a similar line and length on the following delivery to which Vohra hit a six through the long off region. Vohra swatted the next ball through the midwicket region to hit another four on the next ball. Duminy followed it up with a flatter delivery away from Vohra to which the batsman played an inside out shot for another six.
