The second week of the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has started with the break of jinx that the chasing team wins the match as in three consecutive matches, the team batting first won the match. However, the fifteenth match of the season will be played between the teams who have won the last matches they have played, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). While RR hammed the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their own den, KKR registered a comprehensive win against Delhi Daredevils (DD) on Monday. In both the scenarios, a win is very necessary for both the teams in order to continue their winning momentum. Apart from some stalwarts, both the teams do have some promising youngsters who can be the x-factors for their respective teams.

Shubhman Gill (KKR)

Shubman Gill scored as many as 372 runs in the U-19 World Cup, including a century against arch-rivals Pakistan in the semi-finals. He was also the man of the tournament in U-19 World 2018. In KKR’s last game, he made his debut as well but got to bat at no. 7 and failed to make a mark, despite getting another chance in the next games against CSK. But, the way he smashed the opposition bowlers in the U-19 World Cup, he proved that he is a promising batsman and if given sufficient chances he can be the go-to batsman for KKR.
