5.Reliving the Final 2014

Kings XI Punjab’s only IPL Final appearance occurred in 2014 when they ran against Kolkata Knight Riders. KXIP batted first and lost two quick wickets in form of Virender Sehwag and George Bailey. Wriddhimaan Saha batting at number four stormed into action and scored 115*. Vohra scored 67 in support.

Manish Pandey

KKR had to chase 200 runs to claim the title which looked extremely difficult. Robin Uthappa failed at the start and Gautam Gambhir was now joined by Manish Pandey. Gambhir played a supportive role as Pandey launched the assault. Pandey ended up with 94 from 50 balls with 7 fours and 6 sixes.

With the late order firing, KKR reached the target with 3 balls remaining. KXIP has never made into the finals so far.
