Delhi Daredevils will play their match at their home ground – Ferozshah Kotla stadium of the IPL 2018 season. The challenge they face is a daunting prospect. Kings XI Punjab team is running in superb form with its top two – Chris Gayle and KL Rahul batting in a destructive mood. DD has been a poor side this season and will want to establish early home advantage to stay alive in the tournament. Here is how the probable XI Fantasy shapes up.

Delhi Daredevils:

The team has been lackluster this season. Pre-season they looked very balanced and a squad with depth. But chinks in the armor have been widening since their first match. Their only win in the five matches played so far has been against Mumbai Indians when they chased an enormous total.

RCB vs DD

In the last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, their top order looked out of sorts and Gambhir and Roy failed to get any sort of going. It was Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant who resurrected the innings got them to a great score. Their bowling fell prey to an ABD masterclass.

In the last match, DD made one change, they brought in Harshal Patel in place of Mohammad Shami, he should get one more chance. The change in personnel might be that of Vijay Shankar. He has not contributed satisfactorily. DD can try Jayant Yadav in his place.

Playing XI –

Gautam Gambhir (c), Jason Roy, Glenn Maxwell, Shahbaz Nadeem, Trent Boult, Harshal Patel/Mohammad Shami, Vijay Shankar/Jayant Yadav, Chris Morris, Shreyas Iyer, Rahul Tewatia, Rishabh Pant (wk)

Kings XI Punjab

The team is doing balle balle off the field and on it as well. They had a very good auction in 2018 and picked up a good team. The results are showing up on their record so far. Picking Chris Gayle has benefitted them extremely. He and KL Rahul have won the last two games for Punjab.

Kings XI Punjab

In the last match against Kolkata, KXIP bowling suffered at the hands of Chris Lynn and conceded 191. But with the form their batting was in, the target was never enough. Gayle and Rahul blasted before rain intervened and the match was shortened.

In the last match, KXIP made one change, they opted for a faster Ankit Rajpoot in place of slower Mohit Sharma. His place in the team is doubtful though and may be replaced with fitter Axar Patel.

Playing XI –

Yuvraj Singh, Chris Gayle, Ravichandran Ashwin (c), Aaron Finch, Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair, Lokesh Rahul (wk), Ankit Rajpoot/Axar Patel, Barinder Sran, Andrew Tye, Mujeeb Ur Rahman
