Gautam Gambhir’s position

The former Delhi captain has resigned from the captaincy post of Delhi Daredevils. The team has lost five out of its six matches so far and is under the threat of not making to the knockouts. The dismal team performance hurt Gambhir immensely and he decided to step down.

After starting his return with a fifty in the first match against Kings XI Punjab, Gambhir has looked out of sorts against pace bowling. The agony was magnified in the last match as he struggled to time the ball. Now with his captaincy gone, his batting position is under the threat.
