In the 36th game of IPL 2018, hosts Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) claimed a superb thrilling 7-wicket victory (with the only ball to spare) against Delhi Daredevils (DD) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (Uppal, Hyderabad) on Saturday night. While DD put a total of 163/5 in 20 overs, SRH successfully chased down that target in 19.5 overs after losing 3 wickets.

Delhi captain Shreyas Iyer decided to bat first after winning the toss. While opener Glenn Maxwell fell cheaply for just 2 runs, another opener Prithvi Shaw provided a good partnership with the skipper Iyer at the initial stage. Both put an important 86 runs partnership for the second wicket which provided a good base in the innings.

Prithvi played another good firing knock as he completed his half-century in just 25 balls. He scored 65 runs off just 36 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes.

Iyer scored 44 runs before getting out while Rishabh pant scored 18 runs before Rashid Khan trapped him for lbw. At the end of the innings, Vijay Shankar once again played a firing knock of unbeaten 23 runs off just 13 balls as DD put 163/5 in 20 overs.

Among the SRH bowlers, Rashid Khan (2/23) took two wickets and Siddarth Kaul (1/37) claimed one wicket.

In reply, SRH had a very good start as their openers Alex Hales and Shikhar Dhawan put 76-run partnership for the opening wicket. After Hales (45 runs) and Dhawan (33 runs) were dismissed, SRH skipper Kane Willaimson and Manish Pandey provided another good 46-run partnership for the third wicket.

After Manish was caught out on 21 runs, Yusuf Pathan played the firing knock of unbeaten 27 runs off just 12 balls to finish the game successfully. On the other hand, skipper Williamson stayed in the crease until the end of the game as he was not out on 32 runs. SRH chased down the target in 19.5 overs after losing 3 wickets.

Among the DD bowlers, Amit Mishra (2/19) claimed 2 wickets and Liam Plunkett (1/27) grabbed one wicket.
