On the Sunday of the super weekend of the ongoing 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the second match will be played between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Indore. While Mumbai Indians (MI) defeated KXIP in their last game, RR lost to Delhi Daredevils (DD) in their rain-affected game. The Ajiinkya Rahane led team needs to win 5 out of their remaining 6 games in order to reach the playoffs.
There is no doubt about the fact that both the teams do have proven match-winners in their respective squads who can single-handedly take the game away from any opposition. Let us have a look at 5 such players from both the teams:
1. Chris Gayle (KXIP)
The maverick West Indian batsman has changed the course of the IPL over the years. The big-hitting batsman is responsible for raking up the highest score in T20 cricket and has the most runs in the format as well. In this season also Chris Gayle has taken the distinction of the first century and has struck four consecutive 50+ scores.
With one week rest, Gayle was back in the action against Mumbai Indians. He scored a fifty at the Holkar Stadium, but it was quite slow. He did manage to hit one ball out of the stadium, if he gets into the groove, records will tumble.
