3. The spin conundrum for Rajasthan Royals
In the maiden IPL, Rajasthan Royals lifted the IPL trophy in an unbelievable fashion. The major hand behind that victory was the right spinning hand of Shane Warne. The leg-spinner then mentored Ravindra Jadeja and Yusuf Pathan. Ajit Chandela, Ankit Chavan kept the spinning tradition alive. But this season, Royals are frantically short on that resource.

The result was the buying of Krishnappa Gowtham at an exorbitant price. The Karnataka off-spinner did not play in the IPL 2017 and has not done anything extraordinary in the domestic cricket.
