5. Filling the Warner void

The body blow for Sunrisers Hyderabad came in the third Test between Australia and South Africa at Newlands. David Warner proved the main conspirator behind the ball-tampering controversy and was handed a one-year ban by Cricket Australia.

The absence of Warner will not only affect the batting line-up of Sunrisers but he was also the captain who was guiding ship for the last two-three seasons. The IPL trophy was won under Warner’s captaincy. His fielding and winning-at-all-cost attitude will also be a sore miss for Hyderabad.

Kane Williamson is much calmer and will lead the team in keeping his composure. Will that be successful or not remains to be seen as time passes by.
