On Wednesday night, Mumbai Indians (MI) claimed an important victory after thrashing the hosts Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 102 runs at Eden Gardens (Kolkata).

KKR captain Dinesh Karthik elected to bowl first after winning the toss. MI batsmen performed very well in the first innings as they put a big total of 210/6 at the end of 20 overs.

In reply, KKR was bowled out for just 108 runs in 18.1 overs.
