The Last time they met

The last match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab was cut-short due to rain. The result was a clear one though as KXIP had mauled the life out of KKR’s bowling. Kolkata batted first and with Lynn’s 74, they posted 191 runs in the first innings.

KL Rahul and Chris Gayle made the enormous total look very small. They both launched an attack on the Kolkatan bowling and smashed them to pieces. Rahul scored 60 from 27 balls while Gayle scored62 from 38 balls. KXIP won by 9 wickets.
