The story of the off-spin all-rounder from Karnataka is very interesting. The 29-year old was contracted by Mumbai Indians in the last year of the IPL. K Gowtham was made to warm the bench throughout the season and did not play even a single match for Mumbai. In the match against MI, Gowtham came out to bat against his old franchise and smashed 11-ball 33* to knock Mumbai out of the match. Even in the last game against CSK, he took his team out of trouble with his 4-ball 13.
