Kings XI Punjab will now travel to the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai to take on the still defending champions Mumbai Indians. Both the teams have lost their last matches and will be very low on confidence. More importantly, both the teams are in the mid-table scramble and every win or every loss counts highly for them. Here is how the dream team should look like.
Venue:
Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai – Average first innings score 164
Dream Team Selection:
Wicketkeeper:
KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan both are great options in the Wicketkeeper section. Both are in tremendous hitting form. However, KL Rahul has been consistent while Kishan is on and off.
Batsmen:
Surya Kumar Yadav is an obvious choice, he is been in an excellent form this season and is one of the frontrunners for the orange cap. Chris Gayle, Aaron Finch and Karun Nair are good options from Rajasthan while Evin Lewis can be picked from Mumbai. Another option from Mumbai is Rohit Sharma.
All-rounders:
Four very good all-rounder choices in this match. Ravi Ashwin, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya and Ben Cutting. Hardik Pandya is a must pick. Krunal and Ashwin are preferred choices but Ben Cutting can come good any day. Axar Patel is an option too.
Bowlers:
Bumrah as always is lethal in the end overs. Mayank Markande will be a good choice with his spin tricks at Wankhede. Andrew Tye is an obvious choice from Kings XI Punjab. McClenaghan, Mujeeb and Ankit Rajpoot are the options.
