On Sunday evening, the hosts Delhi Daredevils (DD) ended the defending champions Mumbai Indians’ (MI) hope to qualify for the playoffs of IPL 2018 after beating them by 11 runs.

DD captain Shreyas Iyer decided to bat first after winning the toss. Once again the DD middle-order batting showed their responsibilities and majorly helped the hosts to put a good total on the board as DD scored 174/4 in 20 overs.

In reply, MI batsmen hugely struggled against the DD spinners and bundled out for 163 runs in 19.3 overs.

  • Best IPL bowling figure by a DD spinner against MI. The previous record was 4-0-22-3 by Imran Tahir at Delhi on April 23, 2015.
