After crushing Rajasthan Royals in the first match of the season, the competition gets tougher for the Sunrisers Hyderabad team as they now host Mumbai Indians at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.  Mumbai Indians suffered a close-loss against Chennai Super Kings at the Wankhede Stadium on the first night of the IPL 2018. The defending champions will be eager to get back on the winning ways.

Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Sunrisers defeated Rajasthan with ease.

Playing a home, the advantage is with the Sunrisers Hyderabad. They have one of the strongest bowling unit in the competition. In Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Rashid Khan, they have the best of the pace and spin. Their batting unit has no weakness either.

The team strength was on display in their first match against Rajasthan Royals. In a one-sided mauling, the bowling star that emerged out shining was Siddharth Kaul who picked two wickets for only 17 runs. Shakib Al Hasan bowled tight as usual.

Shikhar Dhawan after getting a reprieve blasted out on Royals bowlers and SRH cantered to an easy win. Such mighty performance is likely to ensure the same playing XI against Mumbai.

Mumbai Indians:

MI lost despite being in great position against CSK

After reducing Chennai Super Kings to 118/8 in the 17th over while chasing 166, Mumbai Indians must not have even dreamt of a loss But cricket has a habit letting the impossible happen. Dwayne Bravo surmounted a late onslaught which took out Mumbai’s best death bowlers. Kedar Jadhav later won it handsomely.

In the opening encounter, Mumbai Indians fielded the expected overseas bowlers. With Pat Cummins out of the IPL due to a back injury, the combination of McClenaghan and Mustafizur is likely to continue.

Mumbai’s choice of the spinner was interesting. Mayank Markande proved to be the surprise package and castled the CSK batsmen. The close encounter will mean that drastic changes will not take place.
