During the 38th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Rajsthan Royals (RR) at Indore, Kings XI Punjab’s Mayank Agarwal and Manoj Tiwary joined hands to grab a terrific catch as the Royals went further into the hole.

Ravichandran Ashwin, captain of Kings XI Punjab, won the toss and chose to field. Kings XI once again dropped Yuvraj Singh in place of Manoj Tiwary. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals included Anureet Singh in place of Dhawal Kulkarni.

Rajasthan Royals got off to a dismal start as they lost D’Arcy Short in the first over itself. Wickets continued to tumble from that point to the extent that none of their batsmen appeared to settle himself in and play responsible innings.

What came as perhaps the catch of the season was Agarwal and Tiwary’s effort to dismiss Ben Stokes. It happened on the penultimate delivery of the 13th over when Stokes hit a Mujeeb Ur Rahman delivery straight to Agarwal at long on. Agarwal, who caught the ball, realised well within time that momentum was pushing him above the boundary rope. Citing the same thing in mind, he threw the ball in the air to Tiwary, who had ran in form long off.

Tiwary easily caught the ball and put curtains to Stokes’ innings. He ended up scoring 12 (9) with the help of two fours. Watch the full video:
