In a stunning reversal scripted at the Wankhede Stadium, Sunrisers Hyderabad shocked the whole legion of Mumbai Indians as they managed to defend only 119 runs. Playing at their home ground, Mumbai Indians succumbed to their fifth loss of the season and will need a lot of introspection. The performance from SRH was even special considering the fact that they did not have Bhuvi and Stanlake playing tonight.

The umpires had a chat with Yadav and Pollard.

Chasing a modest 119, Mumbai found themselves in trouble in the earlier period. They lost their explosive opener and Keeper early. A lot was expected from Skipper Rohit Sharma but he played an irresponsible shot to make Mumbai 21/3.

Surya Kumar Yadav stood at the crease and moved the scoreboard ahead. With Hardik Pandya standing alongside him, the difficult chase was very much possible. At one stage MI needed 42 runs from 32 balls. The task was very much possible but Basil Thampi turned it around.

On the second last ball of the 15th over, Thampi bowled a length ball on the leg stump of Surya. Sensing the opportunity, Surya whipped the ball towards leg side. Surya was shocked the moment he saw what was at the receiving end. Rashid Khan standing at deep square leg took the catch and Mumbai lost their opener.

The dismissal of Surya exposed the frail lower batting order of Mumbai Indians. Siddarth Kaul dismissed both McClenaghan and Markande in the next over. Hardik ended his miserable stay of 3 runs from 19 balls. Mumbai ended up losing the low-scoring thriller by 31 runs.
